Title: System/Business Analyst

Position Summary

The System/Business Analyst is primarily responsible for the various corporate business processes supported by IT and used by Northstar departments.

Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Act as the primary client interface between Northstar system owners and corporate IT
  • Support various computer systems and implementation projects by partnering with departmental system owners and other IT resources
  • Provide on-going process and requirements analysis for Northstar computer systems, including tier 1 and 2 helpdesk support, coordination and testing support for new releases and project management to support system enhancements

The Person

  • Bachelor’s degree; prefer Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering or Business
  • 5 years experience supporting computer systems within a medical device or regulated industry
  • 3 years experience supporting business system environments such as: ERP (Microsoft Dynamics), Clinical (ClinPlus), SAS, Document Management, Product Complaints and/or Sales Force Automation
  • 5years experience performing business process analysis and requirements elicitation, and translating business requirements into functional requirements
  • Fundamental knowledge of Server/Network architectures, Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003

Prefer

  • Experience with implementing and/or supporting computer systems in a medical device or regulated company
  • Knowledge of quality assurance concepts such as change control and systems validation
  • Experience implementing systems using formal System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance workload across projects and functional teams
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
