Title: Test Engineer (Medical Device)

Position Summary

This position helps implement the company’s test system projects and initiatives. This involves the development and deployment of automatic test systems used to test medical devices. The position requires manufacturing test software and hardware experience with responsibilities for both development and sustaining activities. Test systems will be used locally, as well as at contract manufacturing facilities.

Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Create and execute manufacturing test plans.
• Define, design and implement automated test systems.
• Develop new test software and maintain existing test software.
• Process Validation of the test processes.
• Manage the efforts of contract test system development firms as needed.
• Manage and coordinate sustaining test activities to support volume production.
• Ensure that there is excellent communication to and between all disciplines involved.
• Communicate with management regarding project progress and issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

The Person

• BS or higher in engineering, computer science or related field.
• 5+ years with a strong background in test software.
• Possess a successful track record and significant experience developing automated test systems, preferably ones used to test medical devices.
• Experience with C++ or related programming, software development tools, Automated Test Equipment, Digital Multi-Meter (DMM), and Oscilloscope.
• Self-starter who is comfortable assuming responsibility and making decisions.
• Comfortable in a start-up environment, have a good sense of humor, care about developing products that make a difference, and possess the highest level of professional integrity.
